6 Ways To Increase Metabolism Lose Weight Faster
Many people who attempt to lose weight can become frustrated with the process when a slow metabolism is to blame. Some people can lose weight taking in 2000 calories per day. Others struggle to lose weight taking in only 1200 calories per day! With so many pills available on the market, it’s important to be a smart consumer. Be sure you learn how to increase metabolism in healthy and effective ways.
1) Exercise: The single most important thing you can do to increase metabolism is to start exercising. An efficient and toned body increases metabolism. It also helps you more effectively burn through calories. You’ll find as you build more muscle, that your level of hunger also increases. With more muscle you’ll have a better ability to burn calories. Create a regimen that includes at least 150 minutes of aerobic activity per week. Also, include strength training routines at least two days per week.
2) Eating: Eat foods with lots of protein to help you fill up. Eat lean chicken, meats and fish. Include fruits and vegetables to ensure you’re getting the right mix of nutrients. A nutritional deficiency can make your body run less efficiently. This could result in a lowered metabolism. It’s also important to ensure that you don’t skip meals. This can cause your metabolism to slow down further. If you want to increase metabolism, think of it as a fire that requires regular tending. Give it the right fuel at the right time to keep it burning efficiently.
3) Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Getting the right amount of omega-3 fatty acids can help increase metabolism. The reason for this is omega-3 fatty acids help to regulate your blood sugar. They also assist in decreasing inflammation. They may also be responsible for reducing resistance to leptin, which has been linked to the relative speed that fat is burned in the body. This is one supplement that you should consider supplementing in the amount of 1,000 to 2,000 milligrams each day. Natural sources of omega-3 fatty acids include flaxseed oil, fortified eggs, fish and walnuts.
4) Green Tea: Not all green tea is created equal. so Look for green tea that has been certified organic or guaranteed to contain a high level of catechin. This ingredient is responsible for an increase metabolism. One study suggested that drinking 40 ounces of green tea per day can help you increase metabolism. Consider drinking your tea iced if the thought of five cups of tea per day is overwhelming.
5) Trans Fats: It’s been shown that trans fats actually slow down the body’s ability to burn through fat. These fats actually bind to fat cells and liver cells, which can slow down the metabolism. It can also lead to insulin resistance and a decreased ability to ward off inflammation. Both issues can lead to weight gain caused by an decreased metabolism.
6) Organic Foods: It’s becoming apparent that pesticides used to grow our foods are contributing factors to a slower metabolism. When the thyroid is exposed to toxins, your body can’t run at full efficiency. Using organic produce reduces the likelihood that your thyroid will be affected. The thyroid determines how fast your body’s metabolism runs. Eat only organic fruits and vegetables to decrease the impact of toxins on your thyroid.
A conscientious approach to increase metabolism can help you begin to burn more calories each day. Avoid supplements that haven’t been proven to work. You will begin to discover how efficiently your body can run when it’s getting the right care and nutrients in your daily life.

I’ve read one of your article, about Heavy Bag work-out, and I like it. I am planning to try it after giving birth. Now, another idea that would definitely help me loosen fats and will help increase my metabolism. I am not a body conscious but rather health conscious. I believe that aside from getting fat, having a slow metabolism might also increase your risk of getting colon cancer.

It is so sad to see people give up. It can be discouraging to not see the results you want in the time frame you want, but keep pushing! Change your eating habits (and drinking). Take your vitamins and appropriate supplements. Maybe even mediate to keep you positive. Just don’t give up.

I understand it that in fact we are losing fat while building muscle. But are we actually losing weight? Which is denser, muscle or fat?
I would say that these six ways are all about losing fat by increasing metabolism, but not really the weight!

I am trying to lose weight and it is true that exercise is a key factor in achieving this. I also find that as I grow older, it is more difficult to shed unwanted pounds. So yes, exercise and good nutrition should work hand in hand.
