Dumbbell workout can be performed at home or gym
It’s a good idea to focus on certain body parts per workout however not everyone has the time. This dumbbell workout will hit all of your body parts in less than an hour. Perform it a couple days a week to maintain fitness. Of course your diet has to be on point too if you want to achieve any fitness goal.
Intensity, reps, sets and tempo
I’m a big fan of lifting lower amounts of weights with a slower tempo. For this dumbbell workout, we will do 3 sets of 12 reps for each exercise. For tempo will will use 4-0-1-0 – lower 4 seconds, no pause at bottom, raise one second, no pause at top. You will rest 60 seconds between sets. Make sure you are using a challenging enough weight that allows you to complete all reps but if it’s too easy, increase the amount you are lifting. If you are using the proper tempo, this weight will probably be rather light in your estimation. Don’t worry, you can put on muscle by keeping your muscles under pressure for over 50 seconds per set.
