Stress, sitting at work all day, working (or playing) on your computer can all cause neck and shoulder pain. Instead of spending extra money on going to a chiropractor or getting a massage (massage should be for relaxing and relieving stress, not pain!) you can relieve shoulder and neck pain by doing the following:

Other Ways To Relieve Shoulder And Neck Pain
Exercise your neck on a daily basis. If you do not have the time to follow the above videos, while sitting at your desk, nod you head up and down then side to side for 5 minutes a few times a day.
Use an ice pack on any inflamed areas. After a few days, try applying heat with a heating pad
Pay attention to your posture, especially when sitting at your desk humped over a computer. Sit up straight, roll your shoulders back
Drink lots of water, at least 8 cups a day. Dehydration is one of the leading causes for tight muscles, upset stomach and exhaustion.
Don’t Rule Out Going To A Doctor
If you try all the above remedies and you still are experiencing pain, go to your Doctor to make sure there is nothing seriously wrong.
