Fat Burning Tips – Use These Tricks Of The Trade

Fat Burning Tips – Use These Tricks Of The Trade

Fat burning tipsThe key to a maintaining a well-toned physique and a healthy body composition is fat burning. There are many ways to approach fat burning, both in your diet and exercise routine. Each approach is effective on its own, but the best results come when you combine them, helping you to burn the most fat that you can at all times. Here are some useful fat burning tips.

STAY WELL HYDRATED
One important tip when it comes to fat burning is a very simple one: drink more water. Since our bodies are made up of over 50% water, being properly hydrated helps your body perform its most basic cellular functions better, like the transportation and burning of fat. The amount of water an individual needs every day varies depending on their activity level, but in general, you should drink at least one ounce of water per two pounds of body weight a day to stay sufficiently hydrated.

FOODS TO AVOID FOR FAT BURNING
Another good fat burning tip is to reduce your consumption of starchy carbs such as pasta, rice and potatoes. This should come as no surprise to anyone who has ever researched this subject, but it’s worth repeating because it’s a very important component of a fat burning regime. Consuming too many complex carbohydrates at once provides your body with more energy and glycogen stores than it needs, so it stores the excess as fat. This isn’t to say you should give up carbs altogether, but you should stick to 3-5 starch servings a day when you are trying to burn fat.

Find A Sport You Love To Get In Shape

Find a sport to play for fun and fitness

find a sportWhat I am going to suggest here is that you find a sport to play. It’s never too late to start a new sport, or go back to an old one (as long as it’s not softball or bowling, please! Not a sport, fun to pound a few beers with the boys though). I started playing
tennis at 41. I can honestly say it’s the greatest thing I
ever did. I love it and I get a great workout every time I play. My hope for all of you is that you can find your “tennis” that motivates you to exercise and compete on a regular basis. To steal a quote from Robert Plant –

Spin Workout That Will Make You Sweat

Spin Workout – Yes It Can Be Fun

Like all cardio exercises that are good for you, a spin workout on a stationary bike can be very boring. Here’s a good 60 minute spin workout that will mix things up to keep you motivated. Go at your pace for as long as you can, building up to the full 60 minute workout. My gym has bikes that go up to level 25. For me, 100% climb is level 20 for my spin workout which I can keep at 55-65 rpm. Adjust to your levels. For sprinting,  I consider not being able to see the rpm number as 100%. Adjust to yours. When I’m done with this workout I’m soaked and have finished 24 oz of water.  I work out in the mornings. If you do the same, get in a good frame of mind before hitting the gym. I suggest watching this youtube video of Will Smith talking about “Law Of Attraction” it’s awesome – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5nVqeVhgQE I highly recommend morning workouts, great way to start your day. Don’t have the time? Set your alarm 90 minutes earlier right now. Problem solved. You will become much more productive throughout the day. Trust me, you just Got2ManUp! Here’s the workout broken down by song. [Read more…] about Spin Workout That Will Make You Sweat

Bicep Workout – Blast Your Biceps In A Short Period Of Time

bicep workoutHere’s a good bicep workout routine. If it’s a little hard to understand, don’t be afraid to highlight, then print them to take to the gym, garage or wherever else your working out. This Bicep workout is assuming you are lifting weights at an intermediate level.

Biceps – perform 3 sets of the close grip chin-up followed by 3 sets of the dumbbell single arm isometric curl and then 3 sets of the Hammer Curls to complete this Bicep workout. Rest for 60 seconds after each set. Do as many chin-ups as possible in each set and complete 10-12 reps in each set of curls. Perform this workout twice a week, resting at least 2 days between sessions.
