Bicep Workout – Blast Your Biceps In A Short Period Of Time

bicep workoutHere’s a good bicep workout routine. If it’s a little hard to understand, don’t be afraid to highlight, then print them to take to the gym, garage or wherever else your working out. This Bicep workout is assuming you are lifting weights at an intermediate level.

Biceps – perform 3 sets of the close grip chin-up followed by 3 sets of the dumbbell single arm isometric curl and then 3 sets of the Hammer Curls to complete this Bicep workout. Rest for 60 seconds after each set. Do as many chin-ups as possible in each set and complete 10-12 reps in each set of curls. Perform this workout twice a week, resting at least 2 days between sessions.

Hard to believe another year has passed, they do seem to fly. As we go into the holiday season and prepare for a new year, I hope you can all reflect on how lucky we are. Even if things are tough right now,  having your health puts you  well ahead of the game. I know the people reading this have their health because they follow all my writings 80% of the time. Trust me, that’s enough to be in great shape. Make sure you have some XMAS cookies, or candy or ice cream. Food AddictionI’m sure when you hear someone has an “addiction” you probably think of heroin or cocaine, maybe alcohol. No one thinks of a person having a food addiction but millions of people do. There are several different opinions about food addiction – of course we have the internet today to drum up scenarios on everything – but many researchers have found that food addiction actually isn’t about the food itself but more about the individual while others feel people with a food addiction get the same rush some get eating a package of doughnuts or quart of ice cream as a heroin or cocaine addict gets when they get high. sprint and core workoutSprinting is a great way to improve cardiovascular, agility and build a leaner tighter body. This sprint and core workout is a tough workout and should only be done if your in really good to great shape. If you’re not at this time, you can jog through this workout and build up to sprinting. This should be done 2 days a week.

Disclaimer: See your physician before starting any exercise or nutrition program. You must have a complete physical examination if you are sedentary, if you have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes, if you are overweight, or if you are over 30 years old.

Body Mass Index Levels

Why you should know your Bogy Mass Index

body mass indexOne of the ways that medical professionals determine if you are overweight is by a rating called Body Mass Index. BMI is an approximate measure of body fat based on weight and height proportion.  It can overestimate Body fat in those with a lot of lean muscle mass, like weightlifters. Body Mass Index is calculated by taking your weight in pounds divided height and multiplied by 703. For someone who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, the calculation would look like this: [150 ÷ (65)2] x 703 = 24.96.Compare the results as follows:

Diet Myths #4 I get some form of exercise in daily so I can eat what I want

Why it’s a myth – Unless your an Olympic athlete like Michael Phelps who burns up to 20,000 calories a day when he’s training then no you cannot eat what you want because you exercise. The bottom line is the only way you can lose weight is to burn off more calories than you take in. So if you exercise for an hour and burn off 400 calories, then go have a 600 calorie meal, guess what, you are going to gain weight!
