Swiss Ball Abdominals Workout

abdominalsMost people do their abdominals workout at the end of their workouts. I prefer to do my abs on non-weight lifting days, which in my case is Tuesday and Thursday. If you go that route and you prefer to do your workouts at home, I would suggest getting yourself a Swiss ball. These are easy to store at home, reasonably cheap, and have plenty of different uses, not just for an abdominals workout. I am going to assume you have one and list different exercises. If you are out of shape, I’d suggest getting a set of light dumbbells with your Swiss ball and spend a couple of weeks waking up those sleeping muscles. Your ball will probably come with exercises; feel free to pick and choose as you please. Start off slow and don’t worry about feeling clumsy at first. Hard to believe another year has passed, they do seem to fly. As we go into the holiday season and prepare for a new year, I hope you can all reflect on how lucky we are. Even if things are tough right now,  having your health puts you  well ahead of the game. I know the people reading this have their health because they follow all my writings 80% of the time. Trust me, that’s enough to be in great shape. Make sure you have some XMAS cookies, or candy or ice cream. sprint and core workoutSprinting is a great way to improve cardiovascular, agility and build a leaner tighter body. This sprint and core workout is a tough workout and should only be done if your in really good to great shape. If you’re not at this time, you can jog through this workout and build up to sprinting. This should be done 2 days a week.

Burn More Calories Following These Tips

burn more calories without doing extra cardioI like to read a lot of articles about fitness. I find studies interesting and with the internet today, you can find many talking about how to burn more calories without doing extra cardio. Like everyone, I like to eat. The problem is when you get older, eating more is not good – the old “goes straight to my gut” thing. While I eat healthy the majority of the time, if you’ve read my blog for any period of time you know I am not willing to cut everything I love out of my life no matter how “bad” it is for me. I sneak in the occasional doughnut, bowl of ice cream, cold beer to name a few of my unhealthy favorites. There’s one other thing I do on a daily basis that lets me get away with these “treats”. I move my ass, daily by walking going to the gym 5 days a week, playing tennis 3-4 times a week. The truth if the matter is I enjoy doing all of these things so it’s not a big deal to me.

workout when you are soreNo matter what your fitness level, there’s no doubt you’ve felt some pain from working out. Tightness in your calves, a twitch in your hamstrings when you sit, general soreness in your chest or triceps. Usually, this happens when you are just getting into exercise, haven’t exercised in a while.  It can also be from a rigorous workout that woke up some sleeping muscles. Most the time this occurs 24 hours after your workout and lasts a few days. This can bother some people and make them wonder if it is safe to workout when you are sore?
