The purpose of this beginners workout tips article is to help you focus on getting started and having fun! Everyone knows diet and exercise are good for your body. Bottom line is if your not having fun, you will not stick with any workout plan. The good news is there are plenty of ways to make exercise fun and something you can enjoy and look forward to doing. You can still have the mental edge to compete at any age, you just have to get off your butt and do it! The following beginners workout tips will put you on the right track to all of your fitness goals. This article is for exercise ideas, for diet read here.

Diet Or Exercise – Which Is More Important?

December 26, 2015 by Rob Denny Leave a Comment

Focus More On Diet Or Exercise?

Diet or exerciseEveryone knows in a perfect world a combination of a balanced diet with exercise is ideal for not just wait loss but muscle gain and overall wellness.  Should you focus more on diet or exercise? If you follow nutrition guidelines  like not piling on platefuls of food, lean proteins, fruits etc… and mix in regular doses of aerobic activity and resistance training, your sure to optimize your health. Most people battle everyday in their head weather they should diet or exercise. They have a full plate of food in front of them and know they shouldn’t eat it all but then think “well I’ll exercise it off later”. Then they get busy and do not have time to exercise which leads to punishing yourself which is the worst thing you can do about anything, not just diet or exercise. Maybe you have a different goal like getting from a 36 inch waist to a 34 or staving off diabetes.  Sometimes focusing on one over the other will give you better, faster results.

Being A Day Person Will Lead To Better Quality Of Life

How Being A Day Person Leads To More Physical Activity And Better Quality Of Life

being a day personTime To Face The Facts: We’re Not Kids Anymore
What does being a day person mean anyway? To me it means being a grown up. Remember being in college, burning the candle at both ends with no problem? Staying up into the wee morning hours to hang with friends or study for mid terms and finals. This more than likely led to doing the same throughout your 20’s, though you were probably watching the late show for a good laugh before sleep. Once we get into our mid thirties and beyond, there’s really no reason to be up late at night (unless you have a graveyard shift of course)

Jumping Rope – The Best Cardio Exercise That Few Do

Jumping Rope – The Best Cardio Exercise That Few Do

jumping ropeI cannot stress enough what a great workout jumping rope is. In my opinion, it is the best exercise you can do – period! The most glamorous? No! The easiest? No? Boring? Can be! The best? Absolutely. Twenty minutes a day, that’s all I ask. Get yourself to twenty minutes a day, two days a week (three would be ideal) and I guarantee weight loss, better Cardio, and the best balance/agility of your life! Have you ever seen a fat boxer? Other than heavyweights no way. I still remember as a kid watching Muhammed Ali jumping rope on TV. He was lighting fast with a rope which no doubt was a huge factor in him being the same in the ring. Jumping rope will help you in any sport, not just boxing. Spend an extra couple of bucks and buy a good leather rope with ball bearings. Now you’ve got your rope, set up your music ( make sure you have upbeat, what you consider ass kicking music that gets your adrenaline pumping), set the timer for twenty minutes, and when you started jumping, one of two things probably happened – 30 seconds in you were completely out of air or every second or third time the rope hit your feet. I’m sure you then thought to yourself “20 minutes, that friggin guy’s nuts!” chances are you didn’t use “friggin.” Jumping rope’s not so easy! No problem, we’ll build up to twenty minutes using the following format:

Heavy Bag Workout – Great Cardio And Stress Relief Workout

Heavy Bag Workout – Great Cardio And Stress Relief  Workout

Heavy Bag Workout

Here is my favorite cardio exercise outside of playing tennis – a complete heavy bag workout. And guess what, it’s not only fun but also really good for your entire body. It’s even great for your mind, because a heavy bag workout is great stress relief. Another super cool thing is – ytou never get hit back during a heavy bag workout! You can beat the hell out of it and never have the fear of being knocked on your ass by a sneaky left hook! We can all look like Ali or Holyfield! Several things to cover here. Don’t run out and start your heavy bag workout without reading the rest of this article. Chances are good if you do, you’ll end up with a broken wrist! First of all, most gyms have a heavy bag. You may want to go out and buy your own. If you have a tree in your yard, all you’ll need is a heavy bag and a chain to hang it from. Next, you’ll need bag gloves. You have a couple options here. The newer gloves don’t require wraps, but they are more expensive. If you go old school, make sure you buy wraps! I can’t stress enough the importance of wrapping your hands before hitting the heavy bag (I’ll cover hand wrapping later). Wraps help protect your wrist, hand, and knuckles from injury. Bag’s up, hands are wrapped, and you’re ready to start banging away. Here are some basics – [Read more…] about Heavy Bag Workout – Great Cardio And Stress Relief Workout
