You just finished your weight lifting for the day and are feeling good as you should. But wait, before you leave the gym or hit the shower, burn fat and build muscle with this “closer” to finish up. Since your muscles are probably feeling pretty tired from your workout, you will not use any weights – except your body weight. They are brief but intense which is why you should do them at the end of your workout. It’s a great way to burn fat and build muscle plus when your done, you will have an extra bounce in your step throughout the day knowing you left everything you had in the gym. When you eat spicy food you drink a lot of water and nothing makes you feel fuller longer than water. The best thing about drinking a lot of water is zero calories. That’s why I always recommend eating as much spicy food as your body will allow. You definitely don’t want to make yourself sick or give yourself heartburn. This is why I recommend starting slow if you’re not used to spicy food. Use mild hot sauce or salsa and work your way up. Keep the water by your side when eating. I find studies interesting and with the internet today, you can find many talking about how to burn more calories without doing extra cardio. Like everyone, I like to eat. The problem is when you get older, eating more is not good – the old “goes straight to my gut” thing. While I eat healthy the majority of the time, if you’ve read my blog for any period of time you know I am not willing to cut everything I love out of my life no matter how “bad” it is for me. I sneak in the occasional doughnut, bowl of ice cream, cold beer to name a few of my unhealthy favorites. There’s one other thing I do on a daily basis that lets me get away with these “treats”. I move my ass, daily by walking going to the gym 5 days a week, playing tennis 3-4 times a week. The truth if the matter is I enjoy doing all of these things so it’s not a big deal to me.
